# RhinestoneGrid experimental calibration kit

This kit is for real-world measurement and fit testing. **Physical QA has not been performed.** The included sizes are experimental inputs, not stone, cutter, material, blade, pressure or speed recommendations.

## File index

- `designs/known-20x10-square.*`: hand-checkable 20 x 10 mm, 2 mm-hole, 5 mm-pitch design.
- `calibration/hole-diameter-ladder.svg`: five copies of the same synthetic R motif at fixed centres and 4 mm pitch. Only hole diameter changes: 3.30, 3.35, 3.40, 3.45 and 3.50 mm.
- `calibration/calibration-map.json`: deterministic panel order, diameter, and SVG/PDF placement map.
- `calibration/diameter-*.svg`: each ladder variant as a separate cut file.
- `calibration/hole-diameter-ladder.pdf`: labelled printable 1:1 map with horizontal and vertical 100 mm references plus a 25.4 mm square.
- `calibration/measurement-coupon.svg`: intentional cut paths for a 100 mm line and 25.4 mm square. It is not a production design.
- `mirror/*`: the same asymmetric R motif normal and mirrored.
- `stress/dense-near-limit.svg`: geometry/export stress fixture.
- `qa/*`: blank physical QA records. Enter observed settings and results; no defaults are supplied.

## Tester guidance

Print PDFs at **Actual size / 100%** and disable Fit to page. Record the measured references before judging hole fit. For cutter tests, use settings from your known workflow or manufacturer; this kit supplies none. An imported file, a preview, or a successful cut command is not a physical pass. Record actual material, stone batch, software, machine, tool, settings, measurements, fit and transfer result.

The diameter ladder is a controlled comparison only while source motif, centre positions, 4 mm centre pitch, layout, threshold, mirror and workflow remain fixed. If other parameters or physical settings change, report it as a configuration comparison rather than a one-variable result.
